In season 3, one of Indian Matchmaking lead Sima’s clients from the U.S. is 31-year-old Arti. Her father passed away in 2021, and he’d wanted her to marry an Indian, preferably a Sindhi man. Sima flew to Miami to meet with Arti. Done with dating men who aren’t serious about commitment, Arti sought help from Sima, so she could find the, “perfect person” to marry by the end of the year. Arti’s goal was to meet a match who meshed, “well” with her personality. She likes visiting Costco once a week, and wanted Sima to visit the chain store with her.

On a serious note, Arti was looking for a motivated man who’d had a good upbringing, who was born and raised in America. She wanted him to be good-natured. “Tall and muscular” was also a requirement for Arti. While she was crystal clear in her approach, Sima matched Arti with Avinash Shingwani, whom she’d met at a mixer earlier, but barely talked to. The next option was Ashman Murti. Arti’s date with Avi was easygoing. However, she felt that, “something was missing.” Arti looked crestfallen after her video call with Ash, where each had drunk red wine. For her, there was, “something slightly missing” on that date too.
How Did Arti Meet Jamal On Indian Matchmaking?
Sima chided Arti for trying to, “understand the chemistry” with her match in one meeting. To Arti, both men belonged in the friend zone. “She only wants her wills and whims and fancies to be satisfied,” Sima said about Arti. Arti ended up joining a dating app on Thursday, and she met Jamal the next Tuesday. Since Arti used to kick-box, and Jamal was shown kickboxing in a picture, she was instantly attracted to him. “I was looking for a boxing coach. So I liked him back,” Arti added. She told Sima about Jamal and her having, “instant chemistry.” After hearing about Jamal being Muslim, Sima had, “difficulty” with the idea of them dating.

“If a lot of our family gets past the religion. His dad’s a Pakistani, he’s Muslim.” Arti told her friend, when asked if Jamal was the one. “My dad would be p*ssed that I was dating a Muslim,” she added, however, Arti’s elder sister also married a Pakistani Muslim. When Jamal showed up onscreen, he confessed that he felt like he already knew Arti when they met in person. He joked that she, “fit the bill” because she wasn’t a catfish. After all, their first date was at Costco. Four months into dating, Jamal bought the jeweler’s daughter Arti a diamond ring, and she said yes to his dockside proposal.
Arti and Jamal haven’t specifically stated that they’re together after Indian Matchmaking. However, Arti wore the ring in her most recent photos. The couple is very much a part of each other’s IG feeds, and even attended a Holi party with Shital Patel and Niraj Mehta in March 2023. Arti cheekily commented, “Damn you single?,” with a winking emoji, on Jamal’s gym photo from a week ago. Meanwhile, Jamal wrote, “Friends that kick together stick together!,” with Arti replying, “Do you own a book of cheesy lines” to her partner. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Arti and Jamal are married yet, but maybe that’s a story for another season.
